Senior Product Manager
Location: Toronto, Ontario
As a Senior Product Manager, you understand our customer's greatest pain points and you help design our platform as an end-to-end solution to address them. Platform Product Managers work directly on top of feedback from both customers and colleagues to improve products over time with rapid iteration cycles. We are looking for someone who is a design-thinker, able to wear different hats as needed, from working directly with our customers, to maintaining internal and external technical documentation, to assisting customers with initial on-boarding to the Knowtions Platform.

As a Senior Product Manager, you solve our customer's hardest problems. You work with local business units and local healthcare organizations around the world, where you gain rare insight into how healthcare is delivered and paid for. Each healthcare organization will present different challenges, from the regulatory environment, to the nature of the data, to how we roll-out our platform solutions. You will leverage Lydia AI capabilities, Knowtions Platform solutions, to drive real technical and business outcomes for our customers.
About you

  • Care more about what our clients ask for, what they need, and how their needs overlap with our technological solutions, as opposed to the other way around
  • Care more about the user experience of a problem, and understand that the key success to end-to-end business solutions are how you humanize technology and make technology invisible to existing workflows.
  • Are outgoing, interpersonal, and interested in developing personal relationships with both IT executives, and actual users of the Knowtions platform (healthcare providers, claims assessment team, data analysts).

  • Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, Scala
  • Familiarity with and interest in machine learning, NLP, and AI
  • Experience with writing and maintaining internal APIs and documentation
  • Experience with release and sprint backlog management through planning, backlog grooming, development, and review.
  • Ability to work in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
  • Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and constant product iteration with clients
  • Willingness and interest to travel as needed

  • 2-4 years experience previously as a Product Manager or Sales Engineer
  • Experience and understanding of SaaS platforms, especially enterprise sales.
  • Bilingual/trilingual, preferably Chinese or Japanese
  • Experience owning initial cloud or on-premise installation/configuration, connectivity, and operation of enterprise applications
In a typical week, you might ...

  • Participate in both Platform and ML meetings to stay on top of current capabilities and technical roadmap.
  • Stay up to date on broad advances in both ML research and applied ML in different industries
  • Hold a customer discovery call and/or physically meet with the client to uncover and understand stakeholder needs
  • Review quality of incoming data provided by the client to ensure feasibility and scope of our proposed approach
  • Draft initial technical specifications through documentation and mock-ups to communicate with both the engineering team and machine learning team product requirements
  • Set target deployment dates and guide team members through obstacles to hit these targets
  • Maintain existing documentation for all products and features, internal and external
  • Prepare and present key results, insights, and key findings to non-technical audiences, including those at the executive level
